Confucius Plaza (map)

This summer’s heating up and so are we! For July, Daniel Kang has a true labor of love all ready for you, and this one took Float, Sweat, and Tears to bring to you. Join us downtown on July 18, 19, 24, 25, & 26 for a brand new adventure through some hidden highlights of Manhattan, and the hardest-werking  dance party in town. This month’s soundtrack is provided by Daniel Deist, Luke Bove, and August Bagg and is not to be missed under any circumstances. All waves led by Daniel Kang except 8:00pm on 7/19 by August Bagg and 8pm on 7/26 by Daniel Deist & Luke Bove.

Not sure what you’re getting yourself into? Let us explain a little.

Each night, you’ll be able to take advantage of Floatcheck, our mobile coat and bag check service throughout the night. Expect the event to last about three hours, with two intermissions at bars, as well as an afterparty with live DJs. Check-in only runs thirty minutes, so do not delay! If you are late you may be left behind and may not be able to catch up.

The fine print: The horrors persist, so all tickets are FULLY REFUNDABLE, no questions asked, with advance notice; if you are in any way concerned about your well-being, we would very much prefer you stayed home. Just let us know so we let someone else in; these events are small and they will sell out. This is an age 21+ only event.

Gods, Goddesses, and every beautiful Being inbetween: The time has come. The mythological man of our dancing dreams is finally leading a Float! Russell Pikus built the summer's most epic party, specifically designed to remind you of how amazing you are, one power strut at a time. Polish your crown and join us among the clouds on Mt. Floatlympus!

We're scaling the perfect peaks and gorgeous gorges of Beverly Hills for this one. Expect stunning temples and secret gardens alike. And plan to stick around for an after party with a live DJ and food!

As if all that wasn't legendary enough, our pantheon grows with two DJ debuts this month: CD-TROM (Kevin Trommer) and Brenna Mac The Funk Faerie! Do not miss this one-of-a-kind dance party event; it will be fabled for generations to come.

TO OUR NEW FRIENDS:

What The Float is a roaming silent disco dance party. We walk and dance out around the neighborhood listening to music in the provided special headphones. The music matches our surroundings in real time, so it's part dance party, part curated adventure!

Simultaneously LA's most private dance party and its most public spectacle, we'll lead you not just on a journey through the city's landmarks and secret passageways, but also through the inner reaches of your own freshly liberated soul.

We facilitate safe spaces for our community members to celebrate themselves, explore their city, and above all: experience JOY. (Remember joy?!) All are welcome. Dance it alllll out, or just walk along and vibe: the night is yours! Have your own journey, or party with friends. Just don't miss it, because these are the nights to remember.

TO HAVE THE MOST FUN:

  • Arrive as early as 7:30 to meet the community and enjoy some delicious bevvies. But the adventure begins and WE DEPART AT 8:30, so don't be late! WE REALLY MEAN IT THIS MONTH! The music will start at 8:30, with the opening speech even earlier.

  • Sensible shoes are required! Flat and closed-toe are musts, and sneakers are best. Lewks appreciated, but optional! Wear whatever best enables your movement and makes you feel awesome.

  • You can expect the night to end around 11:00 pm, right around where it started.
