The world's first silent disco dance adventure makes its highly anticipated return to our nation's capitol. DC, it’s Floating Dance Party Time (again).
What's a “floating dance party,” you ask? It's a dance club, except without walls, borders, or limits. It's mind-expanding, heart-pumping, booty-shaking glory. It's all the best parts of dancing on your own or being part of a giant rave, with none of the downsides of either. It's FLOAT.
Float is a one-of-a-kind dance party meets curated adventure. We travel out around the neighborhood, guided by music in the provided special headphones, with a break to refuel along the way.
Explore DC in a synchronous groove odyssey with the music pulsed directly into your brain but silent to any observers. Simultaneously the city’s most private dance party and its most public spectacle, we'll lead you not just on a journey through the city's wide open spaces and hidden nooks, but also through the inner reaches of your own freshly liberated soul. Dance where you've never dreamed of dancing before. Reclaim your home.
The night is designed to be whatever you need it to be: You can dance it all out, or just walk along and vibe. Have your own journey, or party with friends. Just don't miss it, because these are the nights to remember.

TO HAVE THE MOST FUN:
Arrive as early as 7:30 pm, but no later than 8:00pm, to check-in, meet the community, and enjoy some bevvies. But the music begins and WE DEPART AT 8:30, so don't be late! We’ll take off into the night, and explore the city as the music inspires us. You can expect the night to end around 11:00 pm, within easy walking distance of where it began.

Sensible shoes are required! Flat and closed-toe are musts, and sneakers are best. Lewks appreciated, but optional! Wear whatever best enables your movement and makes you feel awesome. We also recommend you carry as little as possible for ease of movement. Break out those fanny packs, babes!
What The Float: DC is organized and led by Mary Ann Pianka, with powerhouse mixes from DJ ColEco.

The fine print:
This is an age 21+ only event. All tickets are FULLY REFUNDABLE, no questions asked, with advance notice. COVID and various other horrors persist, and if you are in any way concerned about your health, we would very much prefer you stayed home! You DO NOT need to buy the event insurance, just let us know so we can let someone else in; these events are small and they will sell out!
