Float news and other updates.
As you may know, a reporter from Metro New York accompanied us on our last Float. Her article is here, and it's... well it's pretty positive. "For the first time I enjoyed being part of a spectacle".
We really think Float is special, and we love sharing it with new people. Bring us some new people on Saturday!
Next Saturday's Float has an official starting spot: South Street Seaport.
Take the 2,3,4,5,A, C, J, or Z to Fulton St., and head east on Fulton St. until you run out of street. That's the seaport! Ambrose Hall has an outdoor beer garden, and we'll be rendezvousing on Front St. between Fulton and John (it's the walkway to your right after you step onto the green). You'll know us by our glow.
We'll crack the glowsticks at 9:00, but come early and have a drink! Or shop! Or catch the free screening of Men In Black III at 8:00!
What The Float is coming to Baltimore, MD on Saturday, September 6th! As far as we can tell, this is going to be Baltimore's first floating dance party EVER. Get ready to reclaim Federal Hill for dancing. It's for the good of the union.
What The Float's new official website is now live.
Say hello to the future of Internet support for silent outdoor dancing. You've stepped up your booty-shaking game, so we've upped on web game. This website will soon be your one stop for all things Float. We'll be doing advance ticketing and (eventually) merch directly through this website. We'll be putting up exhaustive FAQs for any and everywhere browser, operating system, and mobile device. We're going to have galleries of all our old Floats, and regular blog posts on the music, fashion, and geography of Float. We're going to keep you updated on upcoming Floats in NYC, LA, and who knows where else. We'll even fill you in on other events we think you'll enjoy.
